Quotes
About being the Sassy Girl: "Actually, my role in the film 'My Sassy Girl' is a far cry from my real personality. I don't know how I
managed to become so rude during shooting... even Cha Tae Hyun was shocked. After it finished, I found a lot of bruises on my body."
Cha Tae Hyun about Ji Hyun: "Jeon Ji Hyun is tall, so it didn't feel comfortable carrying her on my back."
Jang Hyuk on Ji Hyun's performance: "People have this notion that men have to be macho and women have to be pretty and act pretty. But if
you look at Jeon's character in the film [Sassy], she presents an honest, flawed character beautifully."

Trivia
- On the wall of the hotel is an article about a set of quintuplets. Each of the five quintuplets has a cameo appearance somewhere in the film.
Gyun Woo meets all the 5 quintuplets unknowingly throughout the movie.
- Gyun Woo wore pink in the first train scene and so is the teenager that refuses to give up his seat for the elderly. Gyun Woo wore green in
a park scene and so is a man that litters a cigarette butt on the grass.
- The transvestite girl Gyun Woo meets when he and The Girl are broken up appears earlier in the film, sitting next to The Girl on the subway
scene where The Girl brings the forgotten package to the grandmother.
- After the Girl talks to the old man for the last time, as she looks off into the sky, a small UFO hovers across and zips off real quickly. It's been
said that the UFO is actually a time machine that Gyun Woo, as an old man, used to revisit his past. The old man also makes a brief appearance
near the beginning of the film when Gyun Woo and the Girl meet for the first time.
- Kwak clearly implies that the old man is Gyun Woo from the future and he says he does not care if people do not think the old man is from the future.
- The reason why Kwak put a frog in the time capsule scene is that a frog or a toad can be found in the tomb or in the old stone tower and the
odd for meeting Gyun Woo and the girl from the population on the earth is way lower than we found a frog in a something like a time capsule.
- Cha Tae Hyun also plays the girls' ex-boyfriend, though his face aren't shown.
- Actor Kim Il Woo who played many roles in the film (innkeeper, the boss of the low thieves, subway station manager, etc) died from cancer.
- The owner of the roadside eatery where Gyun Woo was drinking Soju alone got paid $100.
- I'll Introduce My Girlfriend' is its working title.
- It was number 1 at the Korean box office for 6 straight weeks.
- It was the second highest grosser of that year, accumulating more box office loot than 'Shrek', 'Harry Potter' and 'Lord of the Rings'.
- Sold over 20,000 tickets per day in Hong Kong at the time of its release.
- It became a mega blockbuster hit in South Korea, Japan and the entire East Asia, to the point where it was drawing comparisons to 'Titanic'.
- Based on a series of true stories posted by Ho Sik Kim on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend.
- An American remake is announced to be released in 2007

Reviews
If there is one really good reason to watch 'My Sassy Girl', it would have to be Jeon Ji Hyun's turn as the film's unnamed heroine.
From her unforgettable first appearance as a wasted commuter, to her rambunctious bullying of Gyun Woo, to the heartbreak she wears on her
sleeve, Jeon displays an unparalleled level of enthusiasm and dramatic range in portraying a young woman whose domineering exterior is but a
smokescreen for her own vulnerability-- it is almost difficult to believe that this same actress who played the quiet and introspective Kim Eun Joo
in 'Il Mare' - Anthony Leong @ MediaCircus
Jeon plays a wacky, crazy, and goofy girl and you cannot help but like her. The way she interacts with Cha's character is simply great.
Repeatedly, she puts him into situations that leave him getting hit on the head or making a complete ass of himself (like wearing high heels
in public or getting arrested). It is also in a way slightly sad, because Cha gets treated pretty poorly and keeps coming back for more. Despite
the crazy antics Jeon's character makes Cha's character endure, he seems to be willing to take it. Now that's true love. Watching the two
together is adorable and fun. - Jeffrey Robinson @ DVDTalk
The main thing to stand out for me in this movie was its lead Jeon Ji Hyun. She is going to go a long way in Korean cinema, she moves with
ease between her characters many faces, competently portraying a hard hearted cold and calculated serial humilliator one moment to a
vulnerable heartbroken girl the next. I can guarantee we will see her a lot more in the years to come. - Simon Tomlinson @ Royal
Tramps
Also worth noting is the films visual style, a clean and colorful mise-en-scene that places the characters within a setting that underlines their
actions just perfectly. Ji Hyun Jeon especially benefits from this, often being lit in a striking manner that revels in her stunning features and
helps to capture the wounded essence of her angry beauty. But far from being simply just another pretty face, the sumptuous dramatic
talents of this young actress are on display throughout the course of the film as she drags her poor compatriot through their myriad adventures.
She is note-perfect in portraying the domineering acts of this protagonist as a cover up for the pain that she holds inside, and in fact it is the
scenes where this hurt persona comes to the surface that the movie achieves some of its greatest triumphs. - Chris Hyde @
BoxOfficeProphets
Jeon Ji Hyun manages to perfectly capture The Girls quirks while not making her so rude or unconventional as to alienate the audience. Shes
unpredictable and intelligent, using her creative mind not only to write insane movie scripts incorporating aliens into every conceivable treatment,
but also to coerce Gyun Woo into weird situations like chasing her around a baseball field while he wears her high heels. Jeon plays it all very
straight and shes so effective that few of the tirades come across as forced. She also manages the dramatic scenes in such a way that The
Girls emotions are clearly stated sometimes the waterworks are a bit much, but not enough for it to make that much of a difference. -

Ji Hyun Jeon, who is extremely pretty and sassy as hell (with a great right-hook) perfectly suited to this kind of role. These two films
('Windstruck') may pose the threat of typecasting her but since they only prove that she can do well in so many different genres,
I hope that she gets yet more deservedly decent roles in the future. - Casimir Harlow @ DVDanswers
Jeon Ji Hyun - who impressed in 'Il Mare' and, to a lesser extent, 'White Valentine' - deservedly won the Grand Bell Best
Actress Award for her role in this film. She's vibrant, creepy, charming and sweet as the role demands. Thanks to this film, she's become one
of the most popular actresses in Korea (and after Shim Eun Ha's apparent retirement, she'll probably become the next leading star in the industry) -
